Chuck Boman

Chaplain Chuck Boman has spent 40+ years in ministry. As a youth pastor, senior pastor and volunteer chaplain he has seen a vast spectrum of the spiritual, emotional and physical needs facing our society. Through those years he has also seen the unique work of God in meeting those needs through the ministry of Jesus Christ.

After 25 years as a fire chaplain he joined Metro Police Chaplaincy as a chaplain for Lake Oswego and West Linn Police Departments. Having family members in law enforcement he has seen the needs facing this particular portion of our society.

Chuck has been uniquely involved in the communities where he has served, receiving several awards for his community work. Chuck is a member of the Rotary Club of Lake Oswego and has served on its board and as President. Chuck has for several years taught several community classes on Biblical subjects focusing primarily on non-churched community leaders. He has been called by many the “community’s pastor” because of his involvement and commitment to the communities he has served.

He has over the years received certification through various courses and training important to being a police chaplain.  Chuck has done extensive training in the areas of crisis management including advanced stress debriefing courses, FBI body identification course and FEMA disaster coordination courses.

Chuck is married to Gail and they have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. They live in West Linn where they attend Willamette Christian Church.
